Britain's Most Evil Killers

'Britain’s Most Evil Killers' is a stark, unflinching true-crime documentary series that examines some of the United Kingdom’s most notorious murderers — delving into the horrific crimes, the personal histories of the perpetrators, the victims’ stories, and the police investigations that ultimately brought the killers to justice.

Each episode profiles a single case: the background of the criminal, the context of the crime, the evidence collected, trial records, and interviews. Through conversations with investigators, forensic experts, journalists, family members and friends of the killers and victims, the show seeks not only to recount the facts but also to give voice to the human cost behind each crime.

The series is produced by Woodcut Media and first aired in 2017 on what was then the Pick TV channel, later migrating to Sky Crime in the UK — and it remains available there (and via Sky’s on-demand services) today.

Over the years, the show has developed a strong reputation among true-crime audiences for its thorough research and its unflinching approach to examining some of the darkest crimes in British criminal history.

In my role as Assistant Producer on the series, I was responsible for researching and sourcing the cases, contacting and interviewing those connected to the crimes — including the perpetrators family members, victims’ families, police officers, forensic experts and, where relevant, witnesses — and ensuring that every detail was fact-checked and documented accurately. I organised and secured filming locations across the UK and helped build each episode’s narrative with care and attention to factual detail.
